MINOT —Minot area seniors are invited to enjoy a free day at the zoo as Trinity Health, the Minot Commission on Aging and Roosevelt Park Zoo present “Senior Safari” Thursday, August 25, at the zoo.

“Senior Safari” features free zoo admission for people 60 years of age and older. A $5 box lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., courtesy of the Minot Commission on Aging. Trinity Health will have educational booths on display from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The zoo opens at 10 a.m.

“Senior Safari is a great tradition; we’re pleased to play a role in bringing it back after a brief absence due to COVID,” said Kathleen White, Community Education Supervisor for Trinity Health. “It’ll be a wonderful time for the seniors. They can enjoy the zoo animals at their own pace. Train rides also will be available.”

RSVP is required to reserve a box lunch. Please call 701-852-0561 by August 22.
