MINOT — The Minot Public Library will be closed on Sunday, April 24 due to the impending winter storm and blizzard warning. As of Friday afternoon, Library Director Janet Anderson plans to keep the building open for regular hours on Saturday, April 23.

“Normally, we are open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays,” Anderson said. “However, I will be monitoring the weather as well as road conditions on Saturday in case we need to close early.”

Anderson said the library staff hope to be open for users on Saturday and encourages people to stop by and check out books, movies, games, and even snow shovels to get ready for the bad weather. “While we want to be open for our patrons, we also want them and our staff to be safe and allow city crews to do the work that’s needed,” she explained.
