Biden's solution to gas prices: "Under my plan, which is before Congress now, we can take advantage of the next generation of electric vehicles, that a typical driver will save about $80 a month from not having to pay gas at the pump."
So allow me to break that baby down for you!

  1. According to the United States Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), the average sticker price on a new electric vehicle is approximately $19,000 more than that of a new gasoline-powered vehicle.
  2. The reason for this is electric cars are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Constructing a lithium-ion battery large enough to power a car requires huge amounts of expensive metals that are found within it, including cobalt, lithium, manganese, and nickel.
  3. The cost of charging your EV depends on your kilowatt hour. kWh rates vary dramatically per state. In Hawaii, kWh can be as high as
32.76 cents per kWh, while in New York, the average rate is 19.30 cents per kWh. California, meanwhile, has an average kWh rate of
19.90 cents. Set the National avg at $0.1331 and if you drive 500 miles a month $66.55. 2000 miles $266.20 per month. That's at CURRENT rates. kWh rates are going through the roof as we remove COAL plants, and electricity is becoming more and more difficult to sustain.
People were asked to STOP CHARGING their cars in California last week due to not enough electricity to power even basic living.
  4. Generally, a clean and rechargeable EV battery has the charge and discharge capacity to meet a distance between 10000 and 20000 miles.
But the main concern is, what happens to these EV batteries when they no longer power up the cars? When the lithium-ion batteries get recycled, the damaged lithium batteries can let out toxic fumes, which cause severe problems for human health and the surrounding environment. However, the bigger problem of recycling these lithium batteries lies in the cost. The cost of recycling these batteries is often more than the cost of the batteries themselves.
  5. And if you are counting on Wind to generate your charging, the turbine blades are NOT recyclable. There is currently a HUGE pit of them being buried near Bismarck, ND.
  6. The BEST EVs get only up to 200 miles on a single charge.
I could go on, but I believe you are getting the drift regarding this NEW and IMPROVED energy source for getting you from point A to point B.
Do your own research. Your CHILDREN deserve to know the TRUTH, not the Save the Earth propaganda being shoveled at them in 'school'.
