ST. ANTHONY — Dawson Holle announced his candidacy as a Republican for the State House in District 31. He has gathered signatures and was approved for the June primary election ballot on June 14th.
“The 2016 Presidential election ignited a spark for me to get involved in politics,” said Holle. “I was inspired to run for the state legislature after attending a local District Convention this winter. I watched our democratic process unfold, and realized how lucky we are to have these opportunities. Politics isn’t only for your career politicians – it’s for every citizen.”
According to his press release, Holle is a 5th generation dairy farmer. His family operates Northern Lights Dairy in St Anthony. He is a member of North Dakota Young Republicans, Student Council, Student Congress, Future Business Leaders of America, Church Youth Council and ND American Legion Boy’s State.
Holle is currently interning with ND Congressman Kelly Armstrong at his local congressional office, while he continues to help at the family dairy farm. Fighting for North Dakota agriculture is Holle’s top priority.
Holle said he is committed to full transparency in his legislative actions by explaining his votes through updates on social media channels. “I want to have open dialogue on all topics with constituents. Representatives are here to serve with integrity, and to preserve American values. I believe in the sanctity of marriage, along with respect and dignity for human life at all stages. School choice, religious freedom, Second Amendment rights, freedom of speech must be defended strongly.”
