Minot Man Struck in Fargo

Life Threatening Injuries 

FARGO—A Minot man, 45-year-old Robert Powers, has been identified by the North Dakota Highway Patrol as the pedestrian who sustained life threatening injuries while crossing a Fargo street. Powers' identity was not known at the time of the accident.  

The NDHP had released a photograph of a tattoo in seeking public assistance in making identification of the victim. Powers was eventually identified by his fingerprints through an FBI database. 

The accident occurred at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13 at a light controlled intersection in south Fargo. Powers was crossing in a crosswalk when he was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Impala driven by Nataneil Solomon, 18, Fargo. Solomon entered the intersection on a green light. 

Powers was taken by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. The crash remains under investigation by NDHP and Fargo Police.
