Verbal Shots Fired in House Discussion

3:10 p.m., Nov. 9--The House just passed the joint redistricting plan 73-18. In the process, Rep. Jeff Hoverson (R-Dis. 3, Minot) asked the House Majority Leader Rep. Chet Pollert whether he thought the redistricting process had been fair. Rep. Pollert replied that he did believe so, mentioning all the work the committee had done in the process. Rep. Hoverson then replied that he had not asked how hard they had worked, and then told Rep. Pollert that he hoped to see more spine from the leadership.

A few minutes after the fact, Speaker Kim Koppelman did mention that disparaging remarks about other members would not be tolerated.
